Sunny Side Up was the winner of “Best Original Script”  at the Hunstanton One-Act Drama Festival 2022

Setting
The action takes place in the Sunny Side Up Café, somewhere in the UK, present day.

Synopsis
Ashley and Fran arrive at work for an early shift at the Sunny Side Up Roadside Café; Ashley is tired, suffering from an all-night gaming session and Fran is irritable, having to deal with her newly retired husband getting under her feet all the time. When their first customers arrive, Claire and Peter, a brother and sister on route to visit their elderly mother, it soon becomes clear the customer service  skills of Ashley and Fran are severely lacking. Their growing frustration is only compounded when two colleagues call in for a bacon sandwich on their way to work at the local leisure centre and experience a similar problem. As the customers become more desperate for coffee and service, events begin to spiral out of control.
